Now that fall is almost here it is time to take advantage of all that New Jersey offers. Here are some fall-themed activities that are just a car ride away!
- Great Falls
Arguably the most exciting and scenic place to visit in New Jersey is Great Falls, a breath-taking waterfall located in Paterson. In addition to just taking in the sights they also offer guided and self-guided walking tours as well as a museum.
- Ocean Grove
Who said that beaches are only for the summer? Take a trip to Ocean Grove for a peaceful walk on the beach and boardwalk. If that doesn’t convince you, make sure to drive over there for their Fall Harvest Festival Arts and Crafts show. Whatever you do just remember to dress in layers!
- Allaire State Park
If you’re looking for an escape from the city or even just a change of scenery, consider driving to Allaire State Park. A stunning backdrop for a walk through nature, Allaire also happens to be full of history. Explore the Historic Village at Allaire for both history and beauty.
- Eastmont Orchards
Located in East Colts Neck you can find Eastmont Orchards. All of their products are sold by having customers pick their own produce! They are open 7 days a week, so stop by anytime- just make sure that when you do to bring cash or a check because they do not accept debit or credit cards.
- The Town of Clinton
Another charming town worth the visit is Clinton, New Jersey. With a population under 3,000 people, quaint really is the best way of describing it. Take a stroll through the town and across the antique iron bridge overlooking the Raritan River to gaze at the waterfall that is a whopping 200 feet wide. Spend the day and roam around the town’s shops and cafes as well as the Red Mill Museum Village.
