Spring Cleaning Hacks for Your Car’s Interior

The harsh winter weather can take a toll on your car, both inside and out. Make the time to clean it from top to bottom this spring! Here are a few quick tips for getting your car in tip-top shape:

Take Everything Out and Vacuum

Before getting down to the nitty-gritty of it all, take everything out of your car to allow you to see each surface. Then, when the clutter is clear vacuum EVERYTHING. Move seats all the way up and vacuum up any loose sand, dirt and Cheez-Its that may be hiding.

Grab Your Tiny Tool Box

A toothbrush, some Q-tips and a paintbrush or two will make this process a whole lot easier. Use a paintbrush to clear dust from vents and a toothbrush to get crumbs between seams. A great tip is to use a vacuum while doing so to streamline the project. Lastly, use Q-tips for tiny and impossible to clean crevices.

Wipe it Down

Now is the time to remove the dust from your dash, bring life back to your leather seats and see through your windows again, Grab your cleaning products and a soft cloth to do so, just make sure you are using the right product for each surface. Stubborn dog hair won’t budge from your cloth seats? No problem! Spray some water on them and take a squeegee or rubber gloves to pick up the fur, then finish off with a lint roller. Also, a Magic Eraser will work wonders for dried on gunk, just rub lightly as to not damage any fabric!
