Kia will be launching the 2016 Optima Jan/Feb– which is already in stock and available for sale. Unfortunately the Hybrid model year lags one model so 2015s are the most current available. Below area comparison of the 2015 models (Organized from data on NewCars.com and KBB.com ).

For many reasons but primarily low gas prices Hybrid sales are a fraction of what the gas powered Optima is. Kia has also introduced an Electric Soul this year which will also be a low volume seller – just an FYI. While alternative Energy vehicle are politically correct they have never really gained the traction that many people have hoped for. Gas powered vehicles have improved in MPH significantly and the price of gasoline is no longer a barrier.
