There is a time after Christmas and New Years has passed where we begin to get a little stir crazy. The weather is nowhere close to warm, and we find ourselves cooped up inside. It’s time to break those winter blues with a road trip. We compiled our top three uncommonly interesting places to drive to this winter. Hop in your Kia and get going!

This Pennsylvania National Park is just only a little over an hour away and worth the drive. For those willing to bundle up and get outdoors, this is the perfect destination. Aside from some incomparable views, it has more than 100 miles of hiking trails, breathtaking waterfalls, historical structures, and an abundance of history. If your blood runs a little chillier, don’t worry. There are more than 100 miles of scenic roads to explore from the comfort of your car.

 

Florescent Rocks of Sterling Hill Mine

This is where things get a little more interesting. Located in Ogdensburg, this zinc mine will show you rocks like you’ve never seen before. Overhead black lights reveal the unique features of the mine. For a small price, you can even collect some rocks to take home. If you’re one to get bored easily, this museum offers plenty of different things to do, see, and learn. All we have to say about this, is that it rocks!
