The whole suite of driver-assistance and safety features are included in even the standard Telluride, including collision assistance, lane assist, 360-degree camera, and two analog dials with LED display. • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • A surround-view parking camera system

Harmonious Interior Design

There is design harmony to the interior of this vehicle, feeling upscale but comfortable. The Telluride features a high-end and stylish interior. The luxurious interior features leather trim and manually adjustable (with the standard package) or power-adjustable front seats, as well as heated or ventilated front and second-row seats (with the prestige packages). The design is clean-cut and modern, with most features being made out of leather, soft-touch plastics, and crisp metal.

For families with children, the Telluride has three LATCH connectors, two on the second row, and one on the third row, to easily adjust car seats. There are also tether anchors in the second and third-row middle seats.

Top Of The Line Engine

Its 3.8-liter V6 engine is top of the line, with 291hp at 6,000rpm and 262lb-ft of torque at 5,200rpm with 8-speed automatic transmission, providing a superior reliability rating. It also comes with front-wheel drive in standard packages, with all-wheel drive being available in lux packages.

With all this power, the Telluride is still a quiet ride, with minimum noise because of its acoustic glass windshield and front windows. There are four drive modes: Smart, Eco, Sport, and Comfort (plus Snow and AWD Lock on the extra-equipped Telluride.) It is also very fuel-economic, hitting 26mpg on highways and 20mpg in cities, making 23mpg combined.

Enough Space for the Whole Family and All the Essentials

The Telluride is a three-row SUV with eight seats, but it still has 21 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third row, 46 cubic feet if the third row is folded, and 87 cubic feet if all rows are folded. The second row can either be a bench (in LX and EX trims) or chairs (with the S and SX trims). Whatever the configuration, the Telluride can fit adults comfortably in all three rows and still have enough space in the trunk. The first and second-row seats are very supportive with good visibility.

This is above average for medium-sized SUV’s and gives you enough space for all your essentials and even makes for ample space if the fall has you moving furniture or moving to a new house.

Smooth and Easy Drive

The Telluride might look big and imposing, but it drives like a smaller car. Steering is quick, light, and easy to maneuver, especially in the city where there might be tight parking spots. It might be big, but the vehicle feels stable in tight turns, with suspension absorbing the bumps and dips of the road easily with the 18-inch wheels. 20-inch wheels are also available but might feel less stable.

Named after the Colorado mountains, the Telluride is also a great off-road vehicle. It has a 17-degree departure angle and 8 inches of ground clearance, and a front skid plate. Traction control modes are available for driving in slick and snowy conditions. It can drive down gravel roads and seasonal access trails, although it shouldn’t be used for severe off-road driving.

An Impressive SUV for an Impressive Price

The Telluride starts at $33,690 for the LX trim. Priced at $46,860 is the top-end Telluride SX with the $2,000 Prestige Package (heads-up display, Nappa leather trim, and heated/ventilated back seats) included. Other SUVs in this category with as many features run for as much as $75,000. With a base price of $33,690, the Telluride is a great deal.

Are you convinced yet? No wonder the Kia Telluride sells out at most dealerships so quickly. With all these features, it really is one of the best SUVs in the market. If you need more convincing, head over to www.nutleykia.net to check out all of the Kia Telluride’s features.
